Nicarao event in Bratislava. The Slovakian cigar distributor Dom Cigar and the HRON club are continuing their successful cigar dinners. The next dinner will take place on February 25th at the HRON Club in Bratislava. And this time, Dom Cigar selected three cigars from DH Boutique Cigars to be enjoyed with a buffet-style dinner.
DH BOUTIQUE BRANDS
DH is Didier Houvenaghel, a Belgian agricultural engineer. He studied in Brussels and in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. He is also the author of From Soil to Soul, the most comprehensive book on tobacco out there. The book is out of print but can be found on the secondary market every now and then. There is a second edition coming though, which should be ready this year. He started making cigars with A.J. Fernandez in Nicaragua and has quite the distribution network. Some brands that fall under DH Boutique brands are La Preferida, Nicarao, La Ley, and La Furia.
During the dinner, three of the blends created by Houvenaghel will be tasted. Those are all Nicaraguan puros, completely made with Nicaraguan tobaccos. The night starts with Nicarao Clasico Juanito, Nicarao Especial Gordo, and the La Furia Megaera. All cigars are made in Esteli, at Tabacalera A.J. Fernandez.
THE EVENT
The HRON club and Dom Cigar host this event on the 25th of February, starting at 6 PM. Tickets for the event are available via domcigar@domcigar.sk for €40. Included are the three cigars, a buffet-style dinner, and two alcoholic beverages.
